Café Rebrand

Cafe 1908
D'Youville University

Objective

To develop a refreshed visual identity for a campus café, focusing on creating a cohesive logo and pattern system that could strengthen brand recognition and improve the overall customer perception of the space.

Approach

The logo was designed as a simple, adaptable mark intended for high-frequency real-world applications such as signage, packaging, and digital touchpoints. Alongside this, I developed a complementary pattern system that extended the identity beyond the logo, adding visual consistency across branded materials.

The pattern was designed to reinforce recognition and create a more distinctive and memorable brand presence, ensuring the identity felt unified across all customer-facing surfaces.

Outcome

Following the implementation of the updated visual identity, the café experienced a significant increase in sales, reflecting significantly improved visibility and stronger brand recall.
