Objective

To develop a cohesive brand identity for Lifted Lanterns that could function independently across applications, ensuring the business could operate consistently without ongoing design support.

Designed visual identity system, including the logo and supporting brand elements, with a focus on clarity, cultural resonance, and scalability.

A structured set of brand guidelines was created to define how the identity should be applied across different touchpoints such as packaging, communication, and future brand extensions. The system emphasized consistency and ease of use for non-designers, allowing the brand to maintain visual integrity as it scaled.

Outcome

The final identity system enabled the client to apply the brand independently and consistently across channels, reducing reliance on external design support and establishing a self-sufficient visual framework for future growth.

Symbolism

This brandmark is inspired by traditional architectural framing, blending authenticity with a modern aesthetic. The structured border is influenced by classic Chinese lattice patterns, symbolizing harmony, craftsmanship, and cultural heritage. Within the frame, the core mark consists of an ‘L’ and an upside-down ‘L,’ creating an abstract yet balanced composition. This subtle yet intentional design reinforces the Lifted Lantern identity while maintaining a timeless and sophisticated aesthetic.
